HEY! I’M SAVED! I’m a Christian and I don’t speak in tongues a lot! I don’t raise my hands often and I don’t dance in the aisles. I rarely, if ever, fast and if you judge my salvation based on that, SHAME ON YOU! You are a Pharisee, a snake, a viper. You chase people FROM Christ! You drag them to hell demanding that they follow rules that rob them of their freedom in Christ!
I do not judge you, but THE WORD of GOD does. No where does it say IF you fast, or IF you pray, or IF you RAISE YOUR HANDS or IF you DANCE in church.
ReplyDeleteThese are behaviors that once anyone has submitted himself to JESUS, THE WORD OF GOD, are a response to having the incorruptible seed take root and grow in your spirit by the SPIRIT of GOD. Just as we read today in 1 Peter. Acts 4: 19 says to judge for yourself if it is better to obey what you are accustom to or to obey God. Vs 20 goes on to say that once you have truly seen and heard JESUS, you cannot help but speak of it. I heard it said once and have experiential knowledge that anything that had been touched by GOD cannot help but fly. I implore you to surrender yourself wholly to Father God. I ask Holy Spirit to give you such a hunger for Jesus, for the WORD OF GOD that nothing else would satisfy you. I pray that you would allow Jesus to expose to you areas in your life that you have not surrendered to HIS LORDSHIP. I know how painful it is at first, but once you begin, you will be hooked and will experience GRACE and PEACE that only comes from KNOWING JESUS. I learned a long time ago that when I hold on to something really tight that JESUS is requiring of me, it is like having someone pry open my hands that are clamped tight into a fist. But once I relax in trust that Father God has something better for me, then am I able to rest in HIM. OH how I long to walk with you side by side into HIS Presence and in HIS PEACE. I need you to be there for me and with me.
